Dr. Sara Sims


Dr. Sims comes to Maine from Alexandria, Virginia where she worked with her team to move two different schools academically to come out of priority status. Before this success, she came to the Northern Virginia area from the Hampton Roads-Virginia Beach area where she had taught in all grade levels from kindergarten to 12th grade with specific focus on special education, secondary English, and theatre arts education. Dr. Sims is a Pennsylvania local who has spent her career in Virginia working with children of various backgrounds and educational needs to ensure educational success for all.

Sarah Rent

Assistant Principal

Sarah Rent is currently one of the assistant principals at Robert V. Connors School.  Sarah formerly was the Assistant Principal at Longley Elementary and was a leading administrator in bringing the Longley and Martel school communities together prior to the opening of the new school.  Sarah was the Assistant Special Education Director for the district for several years before moving to the Assistant Principal role.  Sarah was a behavior strategist and prior teacher for many years for MSAD 51 before coming to Lewiston Public Schools to be a school administrator in 2013. Sarah has a Masters degree in Special Education and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership.

Charlotte Nile

Assistant Principal

Charlotte Nile is one of the Assistant Principals at Connors Elementary School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Maine at Farmington. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of English as a New Language. She has worked for the Lewiston School Department for ten years. She started her career teaching English Language Learners at McMahon Elementary School. She then went on to the Lewiston Middle School where she taught literacy for two years. In 2014 she left the classroom to became the Literacy Coach at the Lewiston Middle School where she fell in love with being an instructional leader. In 2018 she earned her Assistant Principal certificate and spent the 2018-2019 school year as the Assistant Principal at Martel Elementary. She is looking forward to a wonderful school year at Connors! 

Courtney Lyons

Special Education Supervisor

Courtney Lyons is the special education supervisor for Connors. She has spent nine years in education within Lewiston Public Schools. She has a masters degree in educational leadership from the University of Maine at Farmington and a bachelors in education from Mount Saint Mary College in New York.
